The hotel Le Tronçais is situated in an 11 000 hectares natural haven. Close to the hotel are numerous walking paths through the Tronçais forest. Here you will encounter small lakes and oaks as high as a church spire that have stood for centuries and carry such name as "The sentinel", "The twins" and "The square oak" indicating their particularity and history. The barrels produced in the area from our local oaks are prized by the wine makers of Bordeaux and Cognac.
Leaving the hotel you'll discover pedestrian path to go through the forest. Maps, indicating distances and estimated walking times are available from the hotel reception. To facilitate your discovery of this exceptional forest.

Horse-riding :For the persons who are interested in horse-riding through the forest of Tronçais, the "Ecuries Duquet" and "Equiland" organises (reservation needed) rides leaving from the hotel for half-day or full-day excursions (4 persons minimum per reservation). The hotel procures a special rate for this activity.

For those who enjoy fishing, it's possible to practise in the Tronçais or Saint-Bonnet's small lakes where you can find many fishes.
